2024 February 7-9 Fabric February was organized for the first time!

I had a possibility to join the Main- Conference day in February 8th.
It was a day full of learning from obviously Microsoft fabric, deeper dive to OneLake, and OneSecurity Preview to be announced in the 2024 Q2, looking forward for this addition!
One session I found particularly insightful delivered by two long time known professionals Adam Saxton and Patrick LeBlanc also known as Guy in a Cube, and seriously, if someone does not know of them, which rock were you living under? They delivered a talk how to choose the right workload for ones needs in Microsoft Fabric. I remember the first times when I opened #powerbi your videos have guided through the misery, I have learned so much from you! It was so great to meet you in person! And offcourse, I could not miss the chance to take a celebrity picture afterwards!

I was especially fond of a talk delivered by Johny Winter from GreySkull Analytics, where he compared different integration tools like dbt, Tabular Editor, Azure DevOps. I am particularly interested in a Tabular Editor, as I have not yet had the client using this tool, and I am very eager to try it, as I hear many good things about it being a nice tool, from many different people, who pair it with Power BI. He has also covered a new concept in the data world Analytics Engineering, which was new to me!
During the day I offcourse, ended up participating in the the never-ending discussions of Fabric vs. Databricks, with the Databricks queen herself Heini Ilmarinen, who I personally look up to as a huge inspiration! 💚
I met a lot of people from the data community all over the world, some of them such as Ben Weissman, who I just participated in the podcast Finding data friends last week. I had a possibility to catch up with my colleagues from the Microsoft University, who are now established developers and I am super proud of how great you are doing Jørgen Haraldstad, Heier Hallvard Kuløy, Anna Theisen 💙
And let me tell you, the #SNÆCKS and the merch was amazing, I have ended up with a new sticker on my computer and oh my, I got the official picture from the conference, and that is offcourse, near the #SNÆCKS! hehe
Kudos to the whole data community, meeting and greeting you today has warmed my heart a lot 💚
